Hey there.
I’m Carolyn McGeorge. I’m a freelance graphic designer, art director, and creative director. I’ve won all the big awards – One Show pencils, Communication Arts, Effies, Addys, and Kelly Award finalist awards (three times). I’ve been named Adweek’s Southeast Art Director of the Year. I’ve even judged big shows like Communication Arts, the One Show (and the Miss Hickory beauty pageant in my hometown of Chesapeake, VA.) But I feel like I still have a lot to prove.

I started my career as an art director at The Martin Agency in Richmond. After Martin, the former president of Martin and I, along with a few other ad folks, started an agency called Just Partners, which later merged with Work Advertising. Since then, I’ve been a creative director/art director/designer for brands big and small, with budgets to match.

I’m passionate about creating work that connects with people on a human level, because that’s what works. I enjoy the craft, the process, the teamwork, and the sweat equity involved. And I strongly believe that being a great creative means being a nice person, too.

I’m happy to work remotely or at your office. I’ll insist on bringing you coffee.
